LAKE COUNTY >> Middletown and Kelseyville high schools each landed two players on the All-Coastal Mountain Conference Middle tennis first team as recently selected by the conference’s coaches.

Undefeated CMC Middle champ St. Helena (8-0) had the most players honored with three. They were most valuable player Rory Winters and first-team selections Natalie Stanton and Sophia Sakopoulos.

Lake County’s first-team selections were Ariana Diaz and Robert Amante of conference runner-up Middletown as well as Claire Vargas and Mary McCallister of Kelseyville.

Cloverdale’s Aidan Reynolds rounded out the first team.

Receiving All-Conference honorable mentions were Lucas Lyons and Easton Ellis of St. Helena, Pedro Sanchez of Cloverdale, Chris King and Trevor Smith of Middletown, Drew Ashby of Kelseyville, and Bailey Elkington of Clear Lake.

The CMC Championships open today and run through Saturday at Mendocino College in Ukiah.
