Clearlake >> Representatives from the Senior Law Project of Legal Services of Northern California will give an informative presentation at Highlands Senior Service Center on Tuesday at 1 p.m.
The Senior Law Project provides free information and advice to seniors in Lake County about housing issues, public benefits, health rights, consumer law, estate planning and planning for incapacity, and elder abuse. The Senior Law Project provides such information as Tenant’s Rights and Foreclosure Assistance, IHSS, Unemployment Benefits and Cal Fresh (food stamps) benefits, medical public assistance programs such as Medical and Medicare, information on consumer rights and senior scams, advanced health care directives and powers of attorney, and financial elder abuse and restraining orders. This is an excellent opportunity for seniors in the community to come learn about the services that the Senior Law Project of Legal Services of Northern California provides.
