NICE >> The Aurora RV Park in Nice goes back more than 50 years and is one of the oldest establishments on the shores of Clear Lake. The park has gone through several ownerships and was recently purchased by Michael Newdow.
The park had been closed for more than a year but recently reopened. It has 63 spaces with full hookups for all types of rvs. According to Newdow there are plans to add a swimming pool, spa and boat docks. It also has a boat ramp. Newdow said the entire park in fenced and has complete camera coverage for security. There is also a manager on the premises 24 hours a day.
The park has long been known for its outstanding bass fishing and fishermen can fish from shore or a boat. Newdow said that in the future he plans to run carp shoots and catfish derbies from the park.
