Lakeport >> The Lakeport Women’s Civic Club (LWCC) elected a new executive board at their regularly scheduled business meeting and luncheon on Friday at the Riviera Country Club Restaurant.
The new board will be officially installed at the June 5 meeting and begin duties effective in September after a brief summer hiatus. The LWCC holds monthly business meetings and a luncheon the first Friday of each month from September through June of each year at the Riviera Country Club Restaurant.
The club has been active in Lake County since 1921 with the goal of making Lake County a better place for all residents. To this end the club raises funds throughout the year in order to make contributions for scholarships, city beautification, senior projects, children’s activities, veteran’s groups and various other community groups as well as providing historical education for members and guests.
