“Dreams: A source of Truth” is the theme of a worship service presented by ECKANKAR: Experience the Light and Sound of God. The service, from 11 a.m. until noon, will be held at Hampton Inn, 1160 Airport Park Blvd. in Ukiah.
The worship service will sponsor a panel who will share dream experiences, techniques to better remember and understand dreams and how they can lead to a better understanding of one’s life. “Dreams touch every level of our life. They may let us glimpse the future, or give suggestions for healing, or share insights into our relationships. Above all, they can and will steer us more directly to God,” explained Harold Klemp, spiritual leader of Eckankar.
ECKANKAR teaches that a spiritual essence, the Light and Sound, connects everyone with the heart of God. This Light and Sound is the ECK, or the Holy Spirit. Direct experience with these twin aspects of God opens the deep spiritual potential within each of us. The Light and Sound purify, uplift, and direct us on our journey home to God. Often people experience the Light and Sound in their dreams.
The event also features a HU Song, a tool anyone can use for spiritual uplift.
Singing HU is meant to draw people closer in a state of consciousness to the Divine Being. This is its purpose. It is for those who desire spiritual love, freedom, wisdom, and truth.
