Nine local Soroptimist club members joined a group of more than 400 Soroptimists at the Founder Region Conference in San Ramon this past week. The Conference brings together club members from six Districts and 55 clubs to share the joy of Soroptimist through a program of education, inspiration and fun.
Soroptimist International is comprised of four Federations: the Americas, Great Britain and Ireland, Europe and the Southwest Pacific. Soroptimist International of Clear Lake is part of the Americas Federation representing 28 Regions in the United States, Japan, Canada, South America, Korea, Taiwan, The Philippines and Mexico/Central America.
Armed with fresh ideas and renewed enthusiasm, Lake County Soroptimists will discuss current efforts and select new programs and projects to sponsor in the coming fiscal year at their annual planning retreat this summer.
The Sorooptimist International of Clear Lake is dedicated to a mission that supports women and girls, locally and internationally. SICL raises funds to help women and girls in Lake County through scholarships, programs that support high school girls and young moms, donations to local non-profits, a free mammogram program and more.
