KELSEYVILLE >> Assemblyman Bill Dodd will host an outdoor Memorial Day barbecue event at Chacewater Winery & Olive Mill on Saturday honoring Woman of the Year Denise Rushing.
The event will feature music, wines and barbecue at the Kelseyville facility from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
The state Assembly honors one woman from each of the state’s Assembly Districts who has significantly contributed to her local communities. Rushing served eight years on the Lake County Board of Supervisors until January, and has served on numerous community boards and commissions.

Dodd represents the 4th Assembly District, which includes all or portions of Yolo, Napa, Sonoma, Lake, Solano and Colusa counties. Dodd serves as chair of the Select Committee on Wine and also serves on Committees representing Agriculture, Business and Professions, Rules, Transportation, Water, Parks and Wildlife, Fairs, Allocation and classification.
