Clearlake >> A reckless driver hit two girls playing in a front yard after crashing through a chain link fence on Sunday just before 9 p.m., according to police reports.
The girls, ages 10 and 8, were transported to medical facilities, and neither received life threatening injuries, Sgt. Nick Bennett stated.
Witnesses at the scene reported that the suspect, Clearlake resident Thomas Nordahl, was driving at a high rate of speed just before the incident. Nordahl, 30, was subsequently arrested and faces charges of driving under the influence of drugs, child endangerment, reckless driving with injury, driving with a suspended license and violation of post release community supervision.
