UKIAH >> The NorCal Drifters of Sonoma Raceway made their first trip to the Ukiah Speedway on Saturday night, rounding out a racing card that included mini-stocks, Budweiser Outlaws, Junior Jammers, Pro Jammers and the Taco Bell bombers.

Tyler Knuds came in first for the Drifters, Jon Duncan was second and Joseph Farasati was third.

Following is a recap of Saturday’s action in other divisions:

Mini-stocks

Mike Peterson Jr. won the heat race and the main event in the mini-stock division while Roy Ingalls Jr. set the fast time of 15.547 seconds. Ingalls Jr. also placed second in the main event.

Budweiser Outlaws

Danny Helm’s big night in the Budwiser Outlaws class included a main event victory over Shelby Helm, Ron Duke Jr., Trystan Mucci and Sierra Furia, and a heat race win over Erik Ray and Mucci.

Furia prevented a clean sweep by setting the fast time (13.469).

The Helm brothers, Danny and Shelby, put on quite a show down the stretch in the feature race. Shelby, hanging on the outside, made his move for the lead on lap 29, but Danny held on to take the checkered flag.

Junior Jammers

Elizabeth Ingalls won the Junior Jammers main event in front of Steven Sprague and Brandi Robertson and also set the fast time (16.844).

Sprague won the heat race in front of Ingalls and Robertson.

Ingalls led the way the entire way in the main event.

Pro Jammers

Justin Moran hit the finish line in front of David Rogers, Kody Hubert, Gene Odell Sr. and Ryan McGough in the Pro Jammers main event. He also set the fast time (16.080).

Heat winners were McGough and Hubert while Rogers won the trophy dash.

Taco Bell bombers

Fast qualifier (14.776) Denny Cashada also won the bomber main event, taking the checkered flag in front of Casey Blocher, Bradley Brackett, Wade Coleman and Kolby Berry.

Dustin Kuhl was the trophy dash winner while heat race victories went to Berry and Blocher.

The Ukiah Speedway is hosting monster trucks, boat races and motorcycle racing on Friday as part of the Redwood Empire Spring Fair. The Saturday racing card includes mud boggs and more monster truck action. Bombers, Jammers and mini-stocks are also slated to run.
