Lakeport >> The Final Environmental Impact Report for the proposed Valley Oaks development in Middletown will come back before the Lake County Planning Commission Thursday, June 11.

The item previously appeared on the May 28 agenda, in order for county staff to present the item to the commission and allow them time to familiarize themselves with the project. Aside from District V commissioner Gil Schoux, none of the current members were on the commission when the project was last discussed in 2009. If the planning commission certifies the report, they may then make a recommendation to the Lake County Board of Supervisors to either approve or deny the development.

Also on the agenda are two public hearings on considerations of mitigated negative declarations, one for the subdivision of a lot on Mountainview Drive in Lakeport, and the other to allow Geysers Power Company, LLC to construct an above ground pipeline linking the West Ford Flat Steam Field to the Calistoga Steam Field.
