LAKEPORT >> Carl Keller of Hidden Valley Lake is first in the pro division, Wayne Breazeale of Kelseyville is third and Paul Bailey of Kelseyville is ninth through round two of the WON BASS Clear Lake Open. The three-day tournament wraps up today with a 2 p.m. weigh-in at the Konocti Vista Casino, Resort and Marina.
The winning professional in the pro-am event receives a $40,000 prize package that includes a new bass boat and cash. The winning amateur receives $2,000.
Keller has 46.85 pounds through round two. He has weighed in five-fish limits both days. Arizona fisherman Justin Kerr of Lake Havasu City is second with 45.55 pounds while Breazeale, who weighed in the big fish of the tournament on Thursday (8.62) in the pro division, is third with 43.64 pounds.
Rounding out the top five fishermen in the pro division are John McGrath of Watsonsville (42.67) and Kyle Maughs of Willits (42.12).
Each of the top 10 pros have weighed in 40-plus pounds through round two. David Sellers of Ventura is sixth (41.93), Ron Bruggeman of Potter Valley is seventh (41.56), Dan Sweat of Pleasant Hill is eighth (40.67), Baily is ninth (40.43), and Austin Bonjour of Santa Maria is 10th (40.27).
Among other Lake County pros in the field, Ryan Lauwers of Kelseyville is 31st (33.03), Bryan Lutz of Clearlake Oaks is 56th (27.22), Gary Collins of Upper Lake is 70th (23.12), Mark Crutcher of Lakeport is 79th (19.97), and Carl Harris of Clearlake Oaks is 97th (6.27).
Amateurs
Glenn Wolfgang of Solvang leads the amateur division with 44.61 pounds.
Rounding out the top five places are Roscoe Gay of San Diego (43.20), Jesus Valdez of Washington, D.C. (40.90), Alex Tran of San Jose (40.31) and Vijay Malhotra of Sacramento (39.90).
The top Lake County fisherman in the amateur field is Ed Legan of Clearlake Oaks (22.45).
Amateur big-fish honors on Thursday went to Daniel Diperna of Mountain View with a 7.92-pounder. He is 53rd overall at 28.23 pounds.
