LAKEPORT >> Officials at the Lake County Fair today announced the winners of the 3rd Annual Lake County Spring Fair Classic Car Show. The People’s Choice favorite was a 1970 Pontiac Firebird locally owned by John Mathies, Jr. from Clearlake Oaks. A multi-award winner for Best Paint, Best Convertible and Ladies Choice was a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro owned by Jenifer Campbell of Lakeport.

Lake County Spring Fair guests were given the honor of judging over 50 classic cars and trucks; multiple vintage trailers created their own Trailer Town. “Fair guests had a tough time picking their favorite” said Lake County Fair CEO, Debbie Strickler. All twelve awards were made from recycled bowling pins donated by Charlie Richardson and creatively designed through the efforts of Gary Milhaupt and Lee Campbell.
