Clear Lake High School’s Rachel Wingler was one of three Lake County pitchers to record her 500th career strikeout during the 2015 softball season. Unlike the other two, Lower Lake’s Shelbie Harris and Middletown Renee Edwards, both seniors, Wingler did it during her junior season, one that ended with Clear Lake winning the North Coast Section Division V championship. She struck out 186 on the year, raising her three-year total to 532.
