Lakeport >> The students of Precious Moments Preschool marched around their playground May 28 and 29 in support of 2-year-old Scarlet Michelle, who has been diagnosed with acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.
“With marching band music blasting, these 4 and 5 year olds were ecstatic about helping little Scarlet and giving back to their community,” parent Catrina Scott said. The walk-a-thon brought in more than $3,000 and taught the children the importance of caring for others, she said.
All of the proceeds went directly to the family.
