The root of the problem
In regard to the nine devout Christians who were gunned down at the Emanuel AME Church in Charleston, South Carolina on June 17, Jim Hall wrote about how we need stricter gun control laws (Record-Bee June 20).
The root of the problem does not revolve around the availability of guns. Instead, the root of the problem revolves around the simple fact that there is evil in the world. Liberalism has given America a distorted view of morality. There was a time when the 10 Commandments actually meant something. At least you knew right from wrong. But not anymore. Now, for example, if a man wants to be a woman it’s OK. It’s not immoral. Not only that, but anyone that criticizes it is a bigot. That’s liberalism for you.
With Dylann Roof we have an we have an atheist committing an act of terror, an atheist whose soul was destroyed in the public schools, whose mind was captivated by drugs. He was raised without Christian values, without any values, really. He was taught the tenets of liberalism which is to do what you feel like doing, to be your own god.
Stricter gun control doesn’t get to the hear of the matter. It’s just window-dressing but it’s all liberals talk about.
