Middletown >> The Friday Night Live Middletown Farmer’s Market is held each Friday evening from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. We sell locally sourced veggies, fruits, honey, eggs, herbs and baked goods, and host a team of art and craft vendors as well as healing artists. There is live entertainment each week, and the last market of the month we host a full band.

The market is community-oriented, and there are no set fees for the vendor booths. Vendors and community members can make donations to cover the cost of setting up and running the market and for tipping the band. The market is hosted by and located at Lovie’s Garden Supply at 21373 Highway 175 in Middletown.

In addition, the SPOT Juice Bar, located a block down from Lovie’s at 21163 Calistoga Road , is hosting a Friday night “Live & Local” event each Friday, with live music or community “Hoots,” or sing-alongs. The juice bar is open for business extended hours on Fridays, music happens from 5 to 7 p.m.

And finally, the new Middletown Art Center (MAC), located in between the SPOT Juice Bar and the Friday Night Live Middletown Farmer’s Market, is hosting live vocal artists each week from 7 to 9 p.m. The music and spoken word artists events are coordinated by vocal artist Kay Ashley. Musicians wishing to participate or get in on the scene should contact MAC at 809-8118. The MAC is located at 21456 Highway 175.

Future music happenings at the farmer’s market include guitarist/vocalist Bill Vanderbuilt on July 3, and Twistbit, an award-winning Electronic Dance Music (EDM) artist.

Musicians who want to get in on the farmer’s market scene should call 987-8719.
