LAKEPORT >> The Ladies of the Lake Quilt Guild (LLQG) is now accepting entries to the 14th annual Falling Leaves Quilt Show. The show is held in Lewis Hall at the Lake County Fairgrounds in Lakeport on October 3 and 4. The hours on Saturday are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sunday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The deadline to submit entry forms is Aug. 8. The LLQG is inviting entries now to give quilters time to finish quilts for the show. Quilters may choose to have their quilts judged or to enter quilts without judging. Many quilters find it beneficial to have their quilts judged, learning much from an impartial evaluation. The judges will award ribbons in several areas.
The show includes 200 quilts, VIP award-winning quilts, the Country Store boutique, vendor mall, quilting demonstrations, a silent auction, themed gift baskets, a door prize and an opportunity quilt.
Judy Sisneros, the featured quilter, presents her quilts and talks with attendees about the quilts on display. Sisneros is a nationally known quilt teacher and bestselling author.
