Middletown >> Members of the Middletown 4-H Club, under the direction of high school teacher Karen Jones, will be the speakers and servers for the Middletown Luncheon Club on Wednesday.

Middletown 4-H is the largest 4-H club in Lake County, hosting more than 90 members. The club concentrates on engaging members with leadership activities as well as promoting and helping with community service activities.

One of their biggest activities is the Lake County Fair because of the leadership benefits it promotes. The Middletown club members will be sharing their love of the fair and their animals during the lunch — public speaking is part of being a leader.

“Please join us to support these youth who are working to improve themselves and their world,” said Beth Rudiger of the Middletown Luncheon Club. “Besides, it’s a lot of fun being served by the youngsters. They take the job very seriously”

Lunch will be served at noon at the Middletown Senior Center, located at 21256 Washington St.. The program will end promptly at 1 p.m.

For $5 per person, guests will be served ham and spinach quiche, broccoli and salad. Reservations are required. Call 987-3113 or email middletownluncheonclub@gmail.com to make a reservation or for more information.
