Lower Lake >> The deadline to enter submissions for the Lower Lake Historical School Preservation Committee’s Annual Quilt and Fiber Arts Show is July 31.

Quilters and fiber artists will have their works displayed in the Weaver Auditorium of the Lower Lake Schoolhouse Museum from Aug. 8 to Sept. 5

The show will be open during regular business hours, Wednesday through Saturday, 11 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Featured artists this year are Sheila O’Hara and her students as well as other fiber artists from throughout Lake County. Antique quilts and an 1807 spinning wheel will also be on display.

An artist’s reception will be held on Aug. 8 from noon until 2 p.m. Quilt and textile artists will discuss their work, and O’Hara will demonstrate different weaving techniques.
