Kelseyville >> Roy Zimmerman — singer, songwriter, satirist — is playing on July 31 at the Unitarian Universalist (UU) Community of Lake County.
A political satirical songwriter, Zimmerman uses a combination of “socially conscious” comedy and original music. He brings satire to the struggle for peace and justice. He’s written songs about fracking, torture, creationism, same-sex marriage, guns, marijuana, war and greed. Zimmerman has also shared the stage with Bill Maher, Robin Williams, Ellen Degeneres, John Oliver, Kate Linton and George Carlin. The concert begins at 7 p.m. and a barbecue on the lawn begins at 5:30 p.m. Tickets for the UU Community fundraising event cost $20, the barbecue costs $10.
