Lake County supports three flourishing farmers’ markets. Lake County Farmers’ Finest certified markets are held at Steele Wines. Open Tuesdays and Saturdays, 8:30 a.m. — noon. Farmers’ Finest has a large variety of vegetables, fruit, plants, honey, olive oil, goat cheese, preserves, and more. Our local farmers showcase fresh produce, such as those grown by Sky Holt of Lake County. A must try is cheese from Yerba Santa Goat Dairy. Vendors of many other crafts such as The Soap Shack Baby, give you everything from gifts to must have products. Both LCFF markets accept WIC and EBT/Calfresh. Tatonka Farmers’ Market. 14240 Lakeshore Drive, Clearlake. Open Wednesdays 5:30-8 p.m. Tatonka has fresh produce. honey, watermelon, berries, and eggs. They also offer snow cones to cool you down on these hot blistering days. Enjoy a fun evening of miniature golfing after you have finished shopping. Everything for a family to enjoy on a summer day.

And finally, Clear Lake Friday Night Farmers’ Market has reopened under new management at Highlands Park, located at 14365 Lakeshore Drive, Clearlake. Opened Fridays, from 5:30 — 8 p.m. Clear Lake held their Grand Opening July 3. They had two out of town certified producers; Choe Vue from Willows and Freddy Ponce from Turlock. The Honey Man, David Fallstead of Dollar Mountain Apiaries had his famous honey, honey sticks, pollen and beeswax. Linda Stevens did psychic readings. Cactus Grill made their tacos with rice and beans. Lorna Sides and Carli Tippett of People Pleazin’ Preserves offers sweet abundance from Lake County. Preserves, jams, and granola. Specially packaged pancake mix and corn bread mix by Lorna Sue from grains grown and milled in Lake County. Most Friday nights will have musicians.
