KELSEYVILLE >> In its first-ever Black Label Release, Chacewater Winery and Olive Mill announced today that it is combining the premium wine with premium music in its first annual Black Label Wine Release and Music Festival, July 25 and 26.

Owner Paul Manuel said that while the winery has been recognized widely, “the quality of this release surpasses anything we’ve produced to date.”

Winemaker Mark Burch agreed. “Wines are about commitment to the grapes, to the barrels, and to the time it takes to make great wine. We take baby steps to get there and it shows in the results.”

Burch said that the festival is their way of celebrating their commitment to the wine. “We really wanted to honor that commitment in a different way. What better way than to invite all our club members, families, and both old and new friends to share in the excitement?”

Manuel added that Chacewater’s success in the past was a foundation to their future efforts. “We’ve continued to capitalize our investment in premium wines and our Lake County origins. It’s our belief that we’re in the right place and now is the right time to make the investments.”

The Black Label Wine Release and Music Festival takes place on the winery’s grounds and crush facilities. In addition to the wine tasting, five bands, including the Unauthorized Rolling Stones and Duran Duran Duran, highlight the two-day festival beginning at noon each day.
