Garberville >> The 6th Annual Jesus Rocks The Redwoods will be held Saturday, July 25 at Richardson Grove Campground & RV Park. Music starts at 10 a.m. Admission to the festival is free.
Phil Joel, formerly of the Newsboys, will join the 10-band lineup for this year’s event. The lineup for the day starts with Aaron Dean with a great electric National Anthem, followed by the Redwood Teen Challenge Choir. Eureka’s own “Ambassadors” with Trent Zelanick will rock in worship, followed by “Sound Doctrine Band” with their original bluesy rock sound, also from Eureka. From Redding comes “Remnant” with some powerful gospel and rock, then “Isiah 58” with their bluesy rock sound, sprinkled with some jazz. Hope Dealers come with their original rap out of Eureka, followed by “ALLUVUS”, a rock blend out of Rio Dell, featuring Roger Sanderson. Joining this year is Soul & Spirit out of Klamath Falls, Oregon with a contemporary rock style. Returning again is “Eastern Horizon,” a group out of Fort Bragg that grabs at the heart strings. The Kish Holy Rock Revival returns once again from Arkansas.
Jesus Rocks The Redwoods feels blessed by Phil Joel’s participation in this year’s ministry. Festival creators were inspired by the Newsboys song “His Reign” to organize the event.
Other events at the festival include a children’s ministry, food, vendors, and skateboarding.
Jesus Rocks The Redwoods event onsite accommodations are provided by Richardson Grove Campground & RV Park. The campground is located eight miles south of Garberville, at 750 U.S. Highway 101, between the State Park and the Cooks Valley exit.
