It’s about “U” and “US”
The letter “U” is not a letter in our alphabet that stands out as anything very important in our daily use. But in some ways it really is an important letter to all of “Us.” It is found in words like United, USA, Made in the US, etc.
At present time, “U” as an individual truly matters in the high tech environment we all have had to learn about and “Use.” Our nation, including all the levels of our government, is made up of individual “Us.” That means that from the 350 million “Us” that make up our nation, less those “Us” under the age of 18, offer the most powerful force in the history of this nation to bring some real change and repair to the path of the American Dream.
First, the two documents that are held the most sacred to the majority of our present day “U” population are the “U”nited States Constitution and the Christian Bible. Both have some major flaws in their views and laws held within. For starts, both documents were created by groups of powerful men of their time, who excluded women, non property owners, and at the same time some were slave holders. So much for “All men are created equal.” They also had a lot of self interest in what they voted to pass, both editions. Both were put into both documents with out securing a democratic vote of its future citizens or followers. “U” also have to stir in less than fact based reasons within each.
Over the hundreds of years since the time of creation of both documents, there have been changes, like the emancipation of slaves, the editing down of the huge number of commandments to 10, etc., even to the point of Prohibition being implemented that allowed for the creation of organized crime at levels never known in this nation and still is allowed to exist to this day. In our own country, not the FBI or State Police ever made a dent in getting rid of it, but the IRS did, and still could, but its power has been diminished and demonized to our population by corrupt leadership in Washington D.C.
Now in this age of high tech and vast free social interaction, a door of opportunity has been opened to make adjustment to one of these documents, our Constitution, and it will stay open as long as the powers that be don’t diminish the power of the internet with new rules and fees. Our two party and possible three party form of political rule can work very well in our future, if all the “Us” that make up the true and real power of our system of government, understand their power and responsibility at the highest level of their daily lives, as to all reaching the American Dream we hold so dearly.
For all our citizens to reach the level of power that truly will and can make that dream possible, each of “U” needs to widen the level of TOLERANCE, TRUST, HONESTY, and MOST IMPORTANT RESPONSIBILITY each “U” hold in your hearts as to interactions between of the fellow “Us” that we interact each day with. Toss away the labels we have been taught to put on our fellow citizens by those in power with their self-interests and greed have worked so hard for all of us to “USe.” For one, racism, which is built on such a stupid premises about the color of ones skin as to the quality of their character, intelligence, etc. Our citizens are far more educated than allows the color of a persons skin to cause a divide between “US.”
We are witnessing daily, around the world, the negativity of not keeping separation of the faith based religions from having anything to do with those laws that govern fair and equal treatment of our citizenry. Their influence only bring non-factual wedges between faith based groups who desire special treatment and status for their chosen views and belief’s. The fact that a growing number of our fellow man around the world are not aligned with any organized religion also needs to be considered.
More and more citizens are becoming aware that corporate America has become the true power over the life style “U” live with. Its power began in the 1860s and has slowly, but methodically has gained great power by corruption on many different levels. It buys favorable treatment with our elected officials at all levels of our government. Putting laws and rule into play that not only added to their wealth but power. Too big to fail is a perfect example of just how greatly they have taken over this nation, where “U” are treated more as a consumer than a valued citizen. More and more of “US” are seeing the negative side of such run away power and it ill effect on realizing the true American Dream, and joining together to right this wrong direction it has been taken “US.” When the cost of greater profits is so great, that our citizens, men, women and children’s lives are KNOWINGLY factored into marketing products that have deadly out-comes, as well as life long lasting mental and physical health negative issues, “U” and the rest of “US” must put a stop to this greater threat to our lifestyle than any outside terrorist threat that we spend so much time and taxpayer dollars fighting. Not all Corporations are poor members of our Nation, but, far to many, pressured by their investors greed, are a fact of life here.
“U” and most all parents, work hard to ensure that we leave a better nation for our children than the one we were brought into, and no greater gift to them, will be a nation that prides and ensures all of its citizens fair and equal treatment, a level playing field for success, and caring, loving hearts for our fellow man. Is that not the American Dream.
Hate, bigotry, greed, and great divides of wealth between rich and poor are not the ingredients for the all American pie.
Respect, tolerance, trust and above all, honesty is the true goal for a great and honorable nation. It is up to “U” and “US” to take back the heart of the “USA.”
