Lakeport >> The UC Master Gardeners of Lake County will host a Water Saving Fall/ Winter Gardening Workshop on Tuesday, Aug. 4 at 5:30 p.m., and Saturday, Aug. 8 at 10 a.m. at the Agricultural Center.
Fall/Winter is the natural growing season in Lake County. It’s the only time you can take advantage of naturally occurring mellow temperatures and rainfall, while still getting enough sun for all leafy crops and some root vegetables.
Find out how it’s done from your local UC Master Gardeners. There is a $ 5 charge for written materials and you are encouraged to RSVP by calling 263-6838 or email celake@ucanr.edu.
