LOWER LAKE >> Lower Lake High School is hosting a Football and Cheer Preseason Carnival on Aug. 15 at Gordon Sadler Field on the school campus. Gates open at 9 a.m.
Admission to the event is $5 for adults and $3 for children. A pancake breakfast will be served from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Cost is $8 per person.
There will be live music and stage entertainment throughout the day. Barbecued hamburgers and hot dogs will be on sale along with popcorn and soft drinks. There also will be a bake sale.
A bounce house and dunk tank will be in operation and there will be face painting. Community business displays and vendor booths also will be featured. There will be games and competitions for all ages.
Special events include an alumni flag football game, a power puff football game at 5:30 p.m., and a PeeWee and varsity football mentoring program beginning at 6:30 p.m.
