The community of Riviera West and the Harbor View Mutual Water Company would like to invite the Lake County community to the grand opening of their new water treatment plant. This event will be held on Saturday, Aug. 8 from 2 to 4 p.m. at 8560 Soda Bay Rd., between the old Konocti Harbor Resort and the community of Buckingham.
The water treatment plant was built to replace the aging and obsolete existing one. The new plant should provide clean, safe, and affordable drinking water for the next 50 years.
This new plant will allow for future expansion of the subdivision to full build out potential without worry of water shortages even in times of drought. This project was enabled by the Harbor View M.W.C. Board of Directors, State Water Resources Control Board- Division of Drinking Water, and California Regional Water Quality Control Board. The project’s final price tag was $3.4 million, which was 100 percent grant funded as Lake County is classified as an improvised community.
