- At the Westside Community Park in Lakeport Saturday afternoon, the Sixth Annual Grillin’ on the Green took place, with a number of local organizations competing for best grilled food. Judges selected Lakeport Kiwanis as the winner, crediting the doneness and flavor of the ribs. Fresh & Bangin’ took rookie of the year honors. The Lakeport Fire Department, winners for several consective years, did not participated in judging. Attendees also voted for people’s choice. The LC Diamonds provided the tunes.
