Lakeport >> Habitat for Humanity Lake County has received a grant of $24 thousand from PG&E for the purchase and installation of two residential solar systems.
PG&E has partnered with Habitat on several past solar systems. The funds will be applied to the next two new home construction builds. One home is currently under construction, and the other will commence construction no later than Oct. 2015. These solar systems allow greater energy efficiency, which leads to lower household operating costs. Lowering energy costs is vital for the sustainability of low income families.
