I am here in Lakeport for a one-month vacation, which is, sadly, drawing to a close. I simply love it here in a VRBO on Rumsey Bay and wish I could stay longer.
Very late last evening, I had to make a trip to Sutter Lakeside Hospital’s Emergency Room. Since I am just a visitor, if it weren’t for my Garmin, I’d have never found the way. But I directions given me and was soon at the entryway of the hospital.
But, alas! There were no lights on any of the signs directing me to the ER! It took me about 15 minutes to finally locate it. The staff at the ER were very kind and efficient.
Please improve the lighting at Sutter Hospital. I’m sure Lakeport gets a lot of visitors that have come to enjoy the many benefits of Clear Lake.
Can you put more lighting around the area, particularly spotlights right over the signs that tell you which way certain parts of the hospital are located? I pity visitors that have to go to Sutter and find the ER in an emergency situation with their current lighting.

State of Jefferson
If you live in the State of California it is time to pay attention! As time goes on Sacramento politicians are becoming hazardous to our health. They rip all our money, they figure out new laws only to get their hands in our pockets … no matter what it is: water shortage, forcing us to make water cuts and then raising the rates because they need more money. No matter how you look at it this is a double edged sword. Also, they ripped all the money that was paid as penalties and fines as part of the fraud mortgage issues.
It is time to realize that you are getting financially skinned alive. I never thought too much about the state of Jefferson before, but it’s time that we took another look at a new state without all the money, politics and our politicians in Sacramento, Democrats and Republicans alike. It is all about money, using money as a water game and the little people in rural counties suffer the most.
If you like the way things are for you today, sit back and keep quite … or you can go to the four-way stop in Lakeport on Main Street and request information on the State of Jefferson. Right now we have more new laws and more new money grabs than we had in many years past. Old politicians very seldom die … they steal all your money during and then steal a balance of it in retirement. Its time for a major clean sweep in Sacramento.

Emergency preparedness suggestions
1. For fire danger stay inside as much as possible with a/c on and windows closed.
2. Charge your cell phone and keep ringer turned on and keep cell near.
3. Keep tv/radio turned on to local stations where they would broadcast any warnings
4. Keep in touch daily via phone with people living near you
5. keep an emergency “survival kit” packed and near the door. The essentials would include: all medicines for you and for pets-clothes, valuables (like cash and irreplaceable papers).
6. Put this stuff in your car right away so it’s ready.
7. Keep car gas tank full.
8. Have containers of water in car already — and food
9. Take your computer if you have to evacuate
10. Take flashlight, lighter or matches

Warming is normal
Kevin, my wife told me you might interpret my letter the wrong way. My apologies if you did because you are an articulate writer, but we will always agree to disagree. My point was to point out the idiot Supervisor from S.F. He is in my book a complete nut job (as in, oh, it is all about me, me, me).
In Earth’s life cycle, as we know it from looking at Mars and Venus, nothing is indestructible. Life on earth as we know it now is finite. It will not last forever, just like us. The Carbon Sequester of CO2, due to plant life on the earth makes us what we are today. Raise CO2 levels like they do in a greenhouse growing vegetables you have a bonanza, maybe just like the Jurassic period? There is an expiration date to earth due to the suns expiration date this is given just like when we die. Like Venus in the past, we will die too. We have found life in thermal plumes on the ocean floor that should not exist and yet we moan about how we are going to end the earth. Yet in all of the galaxies there is a black hole that will devour whole galaxies. Do you really think we can stop the end of mankind? In the liberal world they think we can. Just throw money at it, that is why we have an $18 trillion debt. You cannot fix the inevitable by throwing money at it. And selling Carbon Credits pulled out of the air will not save us, no matter what Al Gore (The Great Predictor of Global Warming, now climate change) has predicted. The Antarctic ice pack is so great scientist cannot reach their research center. My friend in Australia just received 3 meters of rain yet the Northern Territories are in a ten year drought. He just shrugs his shoulders and says “hey mate, that’s life in Australia.” We have lived it for millions of years yet America is responsible for global warming, climate change, or whatever the next liberal nomenclature is for the destruction of earth. It is what it is. Period!
A Black hole is the end of everything just like socialism and the Democrat Party is leading us into. What happens if 10, 100, 1000 years from now another 65 million years ago comet hits the earth all of this liberal gobbly-gook ceases to exist. And it will. And we have not a clue what the sun cycles are going to do.
In an interview a retired strategic air command climatologist said he and 32,000 other climatologists say global warming is bunk. Probably all retired as not to jeopardize their jobs. He stated he had to tell SAC at any given hour what targets they could hit over his entire careers (30-40 years?) This man is obviously not a nut job. America’s safety was on his shoulders. Ask yourself if you are employed by the lame stream media are you as a climatologist going to buck your employer?
And as for my figures on illegal aliens crime rates, they have been stated by people who have a whole lot more to lose than I do. It’s called credibility and the far left feeds on their demise.
