Kelseyville >> A man and woman crashed into a tree and flew off a motorcycle sustaining major injuries Saturday night.

Riding westbound on Highway 175, the unidentified male rider lost control of the 2010 Harley Davidson while approaching Salmina, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP). Authorities have yet to determine what caused the loss of control.

He veered off the north road edge and hit a tree sending him and his passenger flying off.

The two victims were transported to Kaiser Hospital in San Jose, and their identities are currently being withheld.

Investigators have yet to determine the rate of speed, but have confirmed that neither alcohol nor drugs appear to be a factor.
