LAKEPORT >> Clear Lake High School will hold girls’ soccer tryouts and practice for junior varsity and varsity players beginning 3:30 p.m. on Aug. 17 at Cardinal Stadium.
Players will not be allowed to practice unless they have completed and turned in their athletic packets. Prospective players are encouraged to attend the Cardinal Girls’ Soccer Team Camp beginning Monday and running through Aug. 14. Former Clear Lake High School and Sonoma State University standout Tony Bussard will lead the camp. A completed physical packet is not required for the Team Camp.
Bussard, a former Lake County Athlete of the Year, was the MVP on Sonoma State’s Division II national championship team. He later played professionally in one of the premier Dutch leagues. He currently coaches for Santa Rosa United.
