The amount represents bags of non-perishable food items collected through customer donations, as well as cash gifts that will go toward the food bank. Cashiers at the Grocery Outlet asked customers to donate. Each employee also donated a bag and the owners added to the fund. Cashier Natasha Hardy earned an award for encouraging the most donations.
