Upper Lake High School offensive coordinator Vince Moran huddles with the Cougars’ offensive unit during the first official day of the 2015 season on Monday at Upper Lake High School. Upper Lake head coach Frank Gudmundson supervised a series of conditioning drills as well as a scrimmage between eight-man offense and eight-man defense. Upper Lake switches to a 10-team, eight-man league this season. The Cougars play their first game on Sept. 5 at Rincon Valley Christian in Santa Rosa. All of Upper Lake’s games count toward the league standings this season.
