Under the supervision of assistant coach Derek Brodnansky, the Clear Lake Cardinals run through a tackling drill on Tuesday afternoon at Clear Lake High School in Lakeport. More than 30 Cardinals suited up for the second day of practice but only 12 of them were varsity players, according to head coach Darin Brodnansky, who said his squad will be plenty young in 2015. Clear Lake scrimmages at Middletown on Aug. 28 before returning home Sept. 4 for the season opener against Durham.
