Lakeport >> Main Street will be full of only foot traffic on Aug. 28 for the Taste of Lakeport.
The annual event has drawn crowds of nearly 1,000 guests, and organizers expect the same this year. Main Street will be closed to vehicle traffic from 2 to 11 p.m. between First and Fourth streets.
Tastings with live music will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. All tasting booths will be in the middle of Main Street, leaving good access to businesses during the event. The street dance takes place on Main between Second and Third streets from 8 to 10 p.m.
