Clearlake teens are in desperate need of positive activities. Teen pregnancy, alcohol abuse, and drugs are a common problem in a community when there is not much for the teens to do. Many teens feel hopeless because of the economic climate of this area, lack of jobs, and poor infrastructure.
Praises of Zion Baptist Church is starting a program with an emphasis on the youth of our community by giving them positive activities geared toward their interests, strengthening their character through solid biblical philosophy and teachings, and developing community awareness.
The “Word on Wheels Bus” will be a fully functional Teen Worship Center with all the amenities to prepare these young adults for a successful Christ-centered life. The renovated bus will act as a classroom, entertainment center, social hall, and activity center. The goal is to increase youth attendance and bring a new vibrancy to the teens of the community by giving them a sense of belonging. Teens with good character will be better leaders for tomorrow.
