- Kermit Knudson, of the Early Lake Lions, took to the street in a souped-up wagon to sell hot dogs and hamburgers.
- Isabella Mattina presents John Wilson with his first award of the night, Fan Favorite Car for his 1956 Buick. Wilson also won Best of Show.
- Walt Southard poses with his 1931 Old Iron Roadster. Southard bought the car in 1959 when he was just 15. In 1995 he finished the last restoration. “Walt” is embossed on the custom leather interior of the driver’s side door, while his wife’s name, “Mary” is inscribed on the passenger’s side.
- The Lakeport Senior Activity Center held their annual fundraiser, Hot August Nites Car Show and Concert, Saturday afternoon and evening at Library Park in Lakeport. Pictured, John Barrios (left) chats with John Alderman (right) about Alderman’s 1956 Chevy Delivery. Though the senior center only planned on 35 cars, 87 vintage vehicles showed up to line Park St. The crowd checked out the cars, voted for their favorites, drank, ate and listened to the music of the LC Diamonds. John Wilson and his 1956 Buick took home both Fan Favorite Car and Best of Show. T.J. Haynes snagged Fan Favorite Truck for his 1928 Ford Roadster. Fan Favorite motorcycle went to Tom Vesconrelos for his custom chopper. The awards included Most Likely to be Pulled Over, which went to Lee Campbell and his 1957 Chevrolet Corvette.
