LAKEPORT >> The Lakeport Yacht Club is hosting its fourth annual catfish derby on Aug. 29-30.
Sign-ups will be accepted Aug. 28 from noon until 9 p.m. at the club office on the Fifth Street pier in Lakeport. Weigh-in times are from 8 a.m. until 9 p.m. on Saturday and from 8 a.m. until noon on Sunday.
Prize money is awarded to the fishermen catching the five heaviest catfish in the age 16 and older division and to the fishermen catching the three heaviest catfish in the under-16 division. The entry fee is $50 for the adult division and $15 for the youth division.
