Spring Valley residents are safe and sound back in our homes, thanks to all the firefighters and the many agencies that saved the valley. Residents are forever grateful.

The community is holding a pig roast and luau this Saturday, Aug. 22 to celebrate. The bar opens at 4:30 p.m. and dinner is served at 6. Cost is $7 for adults and $3 for children. There will be some wonderful Hawaiian side dishes, and desserts are included.

Charwin Ward and Broken Ground will play the dance tunes for the crowd after dinner.

The festivities will be held at the Community Center at 3000 Wolf Creek Road in Spring Valley. If you have any questions, you can call 998-9928.
