The Lake County Water Resources is seeking part time employees to monitor the public boat ramps on Clear Lake for quagga mussel sticker compliance.

According to Mark Miller of Water Resources the monitors will be paid $14 per hour and will have a flexible work schedule. They will also be trained in screening boats at the ramps.

Miller said that with the bass tournament season starting up in September there will be hundreds of fishermen visiting the lake and their boats will have to be screened and they must have a current quagga mussel sticker affixed to the boat.

Job applications can be downloaded from the county’s web site at www.co.lake.ca.us and click on job opportunities. Those who want more information on the position can call Miller at (707) 272-0760.
