UKIAH >> The T & T Towing Bomber Bash takes place Saturday night at the Ukiah Speedway. The winning driver will pocket $600.
Sponsored by T & T Towing of Willits, the Bomber Bash is part of a full racing card that includes the Jammers, Budweiser Outlaws, Legends Cars and jalopies. Following the conclusion of racing, track officials will wet down the quarter-mile oval in preparation for the fan-favorite boat race. Grandstand gates open at 3:30 p.m. and racing begins at 5 p.m. Advance tickets can be purchased at Dig Music in Ukiah. Tickets are also available at the gate.
Commenting on the $1,000 in prize money donated by T & T Towing, Lakeport Speedway promoter David Furia said, “There is a lot that goes into racing. You can’t just put a car on the track on the weekend and then park it in your garage until the next race. These cars have to be maintained and repaired week after week. The parts aren’t getting cheaper and prizes like T & T Towing is giving racers can literally be the thing that keeps a racer in the season.”
Furia said T & T Towing owner Wayne Hunt is a longtime racing supporter.
“We just cannot thank Wayne enough for his continued support of local racing and his generous donation,” Furia said.
