Sunday Nickel Bingo: This 5-cent Bingo style is the same as the Thursday Bingo held at The Ukiah Senior Center and will be held from 1 to 4:30 p.m. in Bartlett Hall, 495 Leslie St. Snacks will be available during the games.

Aug. 24

Ice Cream Social: The Ice Cream Social will be held in Bartlett Hall from 2 to 3 p.m. Enjoy a dish of ice cream with toppings and pie for $2. Members over 90 or those coming to the Social in their birthday month will enjoy free admission. But all are welcome to come and enjoy! Entertainment will be provided by Robin Cottrell and Kristine Robin, a Celtic/Folk duo called “Two Robins.” Robin Cottrell is an active member of Threshold Singers of Ukiah, whose mission is comfort-singing at the bedsides of the very ill or dying. The Celebrity Scooper and donor for the much sought-after “red ticket” $50 door prize Joan Borecky, former member of The Ukiah Senior Center’s Board of Directors. Info at 462-4343.

Sept. 1

Healthy Living: A free Healthy Living Series will be offered beginning Tuesday, Sept. 1 for six weeks, ending Oct. 13 at Ukiah Senior Center’s Administration Bldg., 499 Leslie St. in the Rural Community Housing Development conference room. There will be no class on Sept. 15. These Tuesday classes are for people with chronic health conditions or those who live with, or otherwise support people with chronic health conditions. The program covers discussions and exercises on eating well, sleeping soundly and dealing with pain and fatigue. Co-leaders Charlie Seltzer 972-3191 and Susan Era 671-5939 will present the series and pre-registration is required.

Sept. 5

Dance: The community is invited to a dance with T.J. Elton and the Feltips from 7 to 10 p.m. at Bartlett Hall, 495 Leslie Street, in Ukiah. Price of admission is $10 at the door. For more information call 462-4343.

Support group: From 2 to 4 p.m., join with other community members over tea and cake to talk about a subject that many find awkward or uncomfortable: Death and Dying. The Death Café is open to all and isn’t based on any particular belief system or philosophy. For more information about Death Cafes, visit the websitewww.deathcafe.com. The Death Café will meet monthly at the Ukiah Senior Center’s Lunch Bunch Room located at the back Administration Building behind Bartlett Hall.
