Lakeport >> The 1975 comedy-drama, “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest,” screens at the Soper Reese Theatre in Lakeport on Tuesday, Sept. 8, with show times at 1 and 6 p.m.
The film stars Jack Nicholson as the free-wheeling McMurphy, who plays crazy to avoid prison work detail and finds himself pitted against Louise Fletcher as Nurse Ratched, a malicious ice queen if ever there was one. This film adaptation of Ken Kesey’s classic novel about the Establishment’s power to force conformity on the human spirit won five Oscars including Best Picture.
