Kelseyville High School running back Devin Dugger handled the ball only nine times but gained a team-best 76 yards in the Knights’ 13-7 loss to De Anza of El Sobrante on Friday night in the season opener for both varsity football teams at Kelseyville High School. Dugger gained most of that total — 64 yards — in the first half when the Knights dominated the game. They did not pick up a first down in the second half as De Anza rallied with 13 third-quarter points to offset a 7-0 halftime deficit. Kelseyville returns to action Friday night at Healdsburg (0-1).
