It is very important in the Jewish tradition to remember Yahrzeits. If you have lost a close relative this year, or even in past years, please send Rabbi Altman the information. He needs the person’s name, the date of death as close as you can come and his/her relationship to you. Even if you don’t light a Yahrzeit candle, he will read their names at the Shabbat service nearest to the actual date of the Yahrzeit. Rabbi Altman has several extra Yahrzeit candles available, no charge, which may be picked up at one of the Shabbat services or from his home. Whenever possible, please make an extra effort to join us for the listed Shabbat service. It is much better to recite the Mourner’s Kaddish among your friends at Beit Chavurah.

If anyone needs a copy of the Mourner’s Kaddish, please let the Rabbi know and he will send it to you, with the Hebrew and Transliteration.

Donations in memory of a friend or loved one may be sent to: Richard Altman, PO Box 4388, Clearlake, CA 95422. Please make out the check to “Richard Altman” and put “Memorial” on the memo line, along with the person’s name you are honoring.

Please check the Beit Chavurah web site regularly, at beitchavurah.org or beitchavurah.awardspace.com/homepage.htm. The Beit Chavurah Memorial page is at beitchavurah.awardspace.com/memorial.htm.

Unless otherwise noted, all services are held at the Lower Lake United Methodist Church, at 16255 2nd St.
