KELSEYVILLE >> Before he could even catch his breath on the sidelines Tuesday afternoon, Eduardo Ledesma, head coach of the Kelseyville Knights boys’ soccer team, trailed 2-0 against the El Molino Lions in non-league action.
Not too long after that, the Lions held a 4-2 lead over the Knights. That’s when Kelseyville got down to business, rallying for an 8-4 win that leaves its season record at 1-0-1.
“We had to actually fight for the game,” Ledesma said.
Victor Cacho scored the first three of his four goals in rapid succession in the final 20 minutes of the first half to turn a 4-2 deficit into a 5-4 Kelseyville halftime lead.
Elias Alvarez added a hat trick (three goals) as the Knights went on to blank El Molino 3-0 in the second half. Enrique Cacho had the other goal as well as an assist in the win.
