Middletown >> More than 20,000 years of rich history will be presented at the Middletown Luncheon Club by Lake County Historical Society President Voris Brumfield on Wednesday at the senior center.

Lake County became one of the 58 California Counties in 1861 when parts were taken from Mendocino and Napa counties to form it. Brumfield will recount some of her experiences from 40 years of living in Lake County and she’ll speak about the development of the Gibson Museum & Cultural Center.

Lunch will be served by the Middletown Senior Center staff at noon. The program will end promptly at 1 p.m. The meal costs $5 per person and includes tri-tip, roasted red potatoes, broccoli and marinated vegetable salad. Reservations are required.
