Lakeport >> The New Hope Fellowship will hold a car show, raffle and chili cook-off today from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. to raise funds for the construction of a new building.
Calling it the “Thunder Road Car Show & Craft Fair,” the event will offer awards in the chili cook-off for Best Tasting, Hottest and Most Unique. Raffle prizes include a 2009 PT Cruiser, a 48-inch television and a PlayStation 4.
Spots in the car show and craft fair booths are still available. To register for the car show, call 349-3025. To register for a booth, call 245-5804.
All proceeds go to New Hope Fellowship building fund.
New Hope Fellowship is located at 305 Peckham Ct., next to Kmart.
