Lakeport >> The next meeting of the Green Party of Lake County is from 4 to 7 p.m. on Sept. 20 at Round Table Pizza in the meeting room. Sarah Ryan will present information on the lake water monitoring program.
Petitions for the SB277 Referendum will be available for signing. These petitions are trying to restore religious and personal exemptions to the mandatory vaccine law, called SB277 and sponsored by Dr. Pan, who is currently the subject of a recall campaign.
Voter registration forms will be available for those interested in registering to vote. National Voter Registration Day is Sept. 22. Ask your local library to participate and register voters. Voter registration will also be offered at the Hands Around Clear Lake event from noon to 2 p.m. There are changes in the law regarding who can register to vote, so you may be eligible now.
